Sustainable evidence
FSC® Certification
Our wood products bear the mark of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®), indicating they originate from sustainably managed forests. This certification ensures not only the preservation of forests globally but also good labour practices within the timber industry. (FSC License: FSC-C104325).

Carb2
Carb2 certification ensures that a material meets the stringent standards set by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) for low formaldehyde emissions. The material from Greengridz, which forms the foundation of our sustainable countertops, holds this Carb2 certification.
NSF
Our custom countertops made from Evora Quartz, Corian, Obsidiana, and Cosmolite are NSF-certified, ensuring they are safe for contact with food. NSF certification involves comprehensive testing and regular factory inspections to meet stringent standards. Products with NSF certification represent quality and safety.
ISO 9001 en 14001
ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 are international standards ensuring product quality (ISO 9001) and environmental performance (ISO 14001). Our certified management system promotes continuous improvement and meets these standards.

TruStone
Together with other companies, Dekker Zevenhuizen has committed to more responsible production and procurement of natural stone. We signed the joint TruStone Initiative, a covenant for International CSR. We regularly report on the progress of these commitments.
XertifiX
Much of Dekker's natural stone comes from India. In addition to Dekker's direct supplier engagements, they are audited by XertifiX on behalf of Dekker. XertifiX is an NGO dedicated to improving labour conditions and environmental protection in the Asian stone sector.
MVO (CSR) 5 stars
Dekker Zevenhuizen annually validates its CSR report through FIRA Sustainability and assesses its sustainable progress via the CSR Register. For years, we have consistently achieved the highest 5-star rating in this TIM assessment (Transparency, Impact, and CSR Management).

Recognised training company
As a recognised training company, Dekker Zevenhuizen offers internships and apprenticeships to students from secondary vocational education, including the Hout- en Meubileringscollege, as part of our commitment to developing future professionals.
Compliance check ODMH
The Omgevingsdienst Midden-Holland (ODMH) conducts regular inspections at our company, at least annually, to ensure compliance with environmental legislation. These inspections focus on ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and minimising our environmental impact.
Trees for All
Dekker Zevenhuizen is fully carbon-neutral, but we also reduce our footprint beyond production, such as in transportation and customer visits. We offset this by planting forests through Trees for All, which plants trees worldwide and protects and restores existing forests. This contributes to a better climate and biodiversity.
